Ben Schaedle

Ben is a Senior Partner at Chartwell Residential. Ben has vast experience in all aspects of multifamily development, acquisitions, operations, and asset management. Since 2006, Ben has developed 1,733 multifamily units with a total development cost in excess of $260 million and a current market value in excess of $550 million.
Ben began his career as development manager at Chartwell Residential and continued with the company as its transitioned into SWH Residential. Ben became a partner at SWH Residential in 2013. In 2018, Ben teamed-up with Rob Schaedle and Peter Ripley to head Chartwell Residential’s latest residential investment platform. In that time, Ben has spearheaded the development of a 240-unit garden apartment community in Lebanon, TN with a total development cost of $40 million; the entitlement and closing of a mixed-use community in Spring Hill, TN with a total development cost of $350 million upon build-out; and the development of a 390-unit apartment community in the urban core of Nashville, TN with a total development cost of $105 million.
Mr. Schaedle was an inaugural board member of the Barnes Fund for one term 2014-2015. The Barnes Fund is an advisory board to MDHA which provides low-income housing solutions in Metropolitan Nashville for new development of housing. Mr. Schaedle graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Business Administration with focuses on finance and real estate.
